Re: Who's making the best coated sub weight boolits these days? Plinking use only.

I looked at the leatherheads, they're heavier and have more bearing surface, for about the same price, figured I'd give them a try next.

As for seating out further, I can try that, I've got some room. I'd have to double check, but I think I'm just under 2" COAL.

Re: Who's making the best coated sub weight boolits these days? Plinking use only.

Correct, cycles, but on the last shot the bolt doesn't hit the catch with it's face, it catches on the carrier. Used to work fine, but I was still playing with N120 when I sent it in for the upgrade, so maybe it didn't and I just forgot. No problems with 1680, other than the extraordinary mess. Uppe...

Re: Who's making the best coated sub weight boolits these days? Plinking use only.

Looks like this has gone from a suggestion to a requirement for me. I recently had the core in my Leonidas upgraded to titanium, and my guess is that less core material + same size can = more volume and I can't get BHO anymore with 10.0gr N120 and the Palmetto 203s. I'm at 1025ish FPS with an ES of ...

Time to get a cutoff jig, but it needs to work for 22TCM also.

What's the best jig out right now that'll do 22TCM and 300BLK? I guess some will do 7.62x25 also, that would probably be a good idea. I tried to search, but the forum blocked the word jig... I don't need the fastest, I'm not a high volume shooter, I need the one with the least dinking around require...

Re: Found some vihtavuori n-120!

10.0gr under a Palmetto Red 203 from my Leonidas gives almost exactly 1000 fps from LC brass.

Re: suppressor came loose this weekend

I'm not sure if it'll work on a rifle, but I can't see why not. They make this bright neon orange goop for keeping your brakes from squealing on cars. You apply it to the rear of the pads, let it set up for a while, and then assemble everything. I discovered years ago that if you put it on bolts, th...

Who's making the best coated sub weight boolits these days? Plinking use only.

Been shooting Palmetto Reds for a while now over 10gr of N120 and I'm pretty happy with them. Anyone making anything light years ahead of them, or should I just stick with what works? Way cheaper would also qualify as light years ahead, but Palmetto's price is hard to beat. Let me know what you all ...

Re: Any Glock Tinkerers Here?

Finally got out and ran those handloads, they're wimpy. Enough unburned powder that my 10th round wouldn't chamber, I had to use a pen to pick a bunch of flakes out of the shoulder area, then it went bang fine. All of my primer strikes are off-center though. I think the chamber needs to come up high...

Re: Adds on this site beginning to be burdensome

I don't mind some ads, but the way these are laid out is silly, they're all over the place. I'm not sure where threads begin or end. I won't be leaving the site , but I bet I've missed some posts on some threads already as they're just too busy to look at for more than a second or two. I also read ...
