Re: POWDER CHECK DIE QUESTIONS?
Thanks for the input, I thought about the lockout die but was afraid it would disrupt the process to much when it is activated.

POWDER CHECK DIE QUESTIONS?
This post is a result of some questions that I have after a discussion I had in another thread. I have never used a powder check die, the reason is because the only real concern I have had up until now is very low powder or way to much powder. The reason for not using the powder check die is a resul...

Re: Lee Factory Crimp die question
Dangit, now I gotta go run a "crimp vs. no crimp" test on my pet load! Put that on the to-do list... The best safest way to test the crimp no-crimp theory is to make some dummy loads without crimp and cycle them full speed (don't ride the bolt) and them measure them for setback. In...

Re: Lee Factory Crimp die question
I don't crimp any rifle load that is .308 and under. Now if I was shooting a magnum I'd crimp. I don't believe any ar can generate enough force to cause bullet setback. Having proper neck tension will hold the bullets in place. Most of the folks on the M1Aforum don't crimp so I figured I wouldn't m...

Re: I NEED YOUR INPUT! NEW PRODUCT IN DEVELOPMENT!
I look inside the case before placing a bullet in the case neck as well as watching the shell plate for spilt powder. Did you mean spilled powder? Would you have an interest in a visual checker like a camera if you did not have to get rid of the powder check die? Yes I meant spilled. Thank you for ...

Re: I NEED YOUR INPUT! NEW PRODUCT IN DEVELOPMENT!
i just watch the die and run with it. being able to add the die was a big part of the reason i got rid of my 3 station lee pro 1000's and went to the LNL with 5 stations. trying to see in the case under the toolhead was a royal PITA. Give the Inline Fabrication lighting kit a try. I have it this wa...
