Re: Leatherhead 220g RN coated test and info thread.

Noveske makes a 1:7 twist. So far the 1:8 twist barrels are showing better results with the coating. If I can find a cheap 1:8 barrel, I might try this again. You are correct. That was a typo on the Noveske 1/8 twist. I fixed it. The KAK 1/8 is only marginally better. It looks better because of the...

Re: Leatherhead 220g RN coated test and info thread.

The 2 on the left are out of my Noveske 8.2 1/7 twist and the 2 on the right are from my KAK Mr. Blonde 8" 1/8 twist. These were captured shooting into a garbage can filled with water.

Ahh, yeah you are right. I see it now. At first glance it looks like the coating is there but just dull looking. Are you shooting these suppressed? If so have you noticed any lead buildup in your suppressor?

Re: Recovered leatherhead 220's

Pretty cool. Obvious that the Hi-Tek coating is staying bonded to the bullet. Thats good to know.

Re: Sizing 220 gr Leatherhead bullets

I thought larger (.311) dia cast bullets performed better than the smaller (.309) cast bullets? Why would you want to resize them? I guess your chamber is smaller which wont allow a larger dia bullet to feed correctly?
