Re: DA Sandman-K vs Rugged Micro30

Mounting system for the Dead Air cans is superior to anything else in the market right now. Either can is a great product from guys who have been in the Suppressor industry a long time and offer great warranty. Best thing to do is figure out which one makes other rifle cans you like and go that rout...

Re: Photon XT

... I used Burris Signature Zee series rings to "point" the scope in a better direction that allowed me to zero it with a laser bore sight. Also you will need some tall rings to clear your gun, I used the Extra High rings to get enough clearance. (edit: in the pic below I do not have the ...

Re: I get to upgrade cans, talk to me about options!

YHM mount is probably the biggest reason to go with another Mfg in my opinion. Not a very solid repeatable mounting system. If POI shift isn't a big deal to you then a lighter YHM can might be ok, they're cheap, especially when you have so many mounts already. But all the cans listed are better over...

Photon XT

Looking hard at these, specifically the 4.6x42S. I've searched and found a couple threads. Anybody want to talk about their up-to-date experience with one here? Curious about mounting options, hoping to put on my Rem 700 AAC-SD but could put it on AR if it ends up being easier. Also heard some have ...

Re: The Maker Bullet project

.... ....I'm wondering if that large opening in front is acting like a large "air scoop" and when all the pressurized air it's gathering exits thru the slots cut into it for the "mushrooming" effect is creating an imbalance due to inequal pressures or turbulence along it's axis ...

Re: Is there a website that compare cans for 300 Blk subs?

DB's seems to be the only criteria you're looking at, but there are other factors to consider. I bet since you're putting it on a pistol you will be concerned with length and weight. If not, Specwar is going to be about the quietest can but it's long and heavy. Omega is close in suppression from mos...

Re: Sub loads using 240smk 8.3-11.3" barrel

Yeah my gun seems to feed better at the slightly shorter length. They fit better in my Lancer mags as well (no trimming)

I also lightly polished the feed ramps and the hump that separates them

Re: Sub loads using 240smk 8.3-11.3" barrel

2.185" and yes I had a lot of problems with my Noveske barrel, as I discussed already in my post, which you quoted LOL

I also found the 2.185 length worked better in my mags and seem to feed better than @2.2"

Re: Sub loads using 240smk 8.3-11.3" barrel

I found my problem with 240 SMK was because my high-dollar Noveske barrel didn't have the correct chamber. I sent it back to them, they claimed to have updated it and I got it back with the same problem. I bought a Manson reamer, carefully reamed it by hand and have had no problems since, using COL ...
