Re: 300 bo subsonic and hunting help
As Long as you use a properly designed bullet that expands at subsonic velocities, your only other concern is knowing the drop and knowing your distance. Fail to follow either one of the above, will end up with either missed or wounded animals.
This^^^ There is no way in the world ...

Re: buffer weight for quietest db at the ear?

To me the loudest noise coming to my ear as I fire my suppressed blackout is the slamming of the bcg back and forth and I'm not sure any changes to the buffer system would change that. That metal slap clack next to your ear is loud enough that you can't really tell how quiet the rifle is.

Re: IMR 4227 for supers and subs???

These subsonic loads are what my 8" suppressed pistol likes. As always YMMV. 220 SMK in LC case. 9.7gr IMR 4227. CCI 400 primer. 2.220 COAL 225 Hornady BTHP in LC case. 8.8 gr IMR 4227. CCI 400 primer. 2.220 COAL 200 Maker HP in LC case. 8.4 gr IMR 4227. CCI 400 primer. 2.120 COAL All three of these...

Re: lee Powder measures?

The first thing I did when I was in your position with Lee powder measures was completely ignore their weight to volume conversions. If you need 18.2 grains of H110, weigh out the charges in grains and be done with it. The next thing I did was to get an electronic digital scale but that is based on ...

Re: First 300 Blk pistol

I've found that with 110 grain Varmageddons that with a 50 yard zero the POI at 100 yards is the same. The bullet is rising through the 50 yard mark and dropping through the 100. Anything between 50 and 100 yards just aim at and shoot.

Re: 10.5" Pistol Feeding Malfunction

Original buffer is fubar. Steel weights that act as if they were pressed in. No way they are coming out. Ran the 110 Barnes Tac-Tx through it this afternoon. They ran in the ASC 5 rounder and jammed in the 30 rd Pmag. This was with the spring and 2.8 oz buffer from my working 300 BLK pistol.

Re: 10.5" Pistol Feeding Malfunction

I just got back from the range. Thank God its only 10 minutes away. I put the spring and buffer from my working pistol into my Son's gun. Same malf with both 30 round Pmags and a 30 round Colt steel mag. The 5 round steel ASC mag fed fine with no feeding issues at all. Next step is to take some weig...
