Re: 300 Caliber 110gr E-Tip® Lead Free™ Bullet

Typically the cannalure is where the case should seat, but I wasn't planning on it with this bullet. With 20gr of H110/W296, there's not enough space left in the case to seat that deep either.

Re: Why don't mfg post min exp velocity?

Nosler has provided this on their e-tip bullet. Although not caliber specific, the velocity and expectation of expansion is illustrated. I'm sure these companies could partner with shooters to get the caliber specific information rather easily just by compensating them with some free bullets. https:...

Re: 300 Caliber 110gr E-Tip® Lead Free™ Bullet

Our neighbor just brought over my box. UPS dropped them at the wrong door on Tuesday and I was just writing up a lost order ticket when the door bell rang. Maybe the same bearing surface on this bullet compared to the Barnes because of the boat tail, but I'd have to get the calipers out to make sure...

Re: Ammo box for 300blk

I use the plastic inserts that comes in some manufactures 50 round 9mm ammo boxes that most people discard in the refuse barrels at shooting ranges. the trays I find very well suited for 223/300 loading come in federal ammo boxes IIRC. That sounds like a good idea if the plastic insert has solid pl...

Re: Ammo box for 300blk

Berry's makes a nice 22'3 box that shells don't sit as deep in. It's number is 405. Holds 50. Has an actual hinge, which is a plus. The berry boxes came and looks like they will do the job nicely. There is about 1/4" less height on the bottom tray compared to the MTM. Thank you for the suggestion! ...

300 Caliber 110gr E-Tip® Lead Free™ Bullet

Anyone try these yet? I just ordered some to try out when the the ranges open up again. http://www.shootersproshop.com/on-sale/e-tip-300-aac-110-grain-lead-free-bullet-50ct.html Interested in comparing these to the Barnes Tac-TX. The Nosler indicates 1800fps minimum velocity for expansion. I can't r...

Re: Ammo box for 300blk

Thanks for the suggestions. Just ordered some Berry boxes to try out. I was thinking if I had to, I could just add a filler to the bottom of each compartment to raise the round a bit higher. Hopefully the Berry boxes take care of it so its not necessary.

Re: Lockdown loading

All the ranges are closed here. We were going to shoot on BLM land yesterday but changed our minds when I only got voicemail at the ranger station when I called Friday to see how they were enforcing the state wide shelter in place. It takes almost 2hrs to get there and didn't want to risk a citation...

Re: Ammo box for 300blk

Thanks for the feedback on this... I use a loading block for the process of charging the cases. Then after seating the bullet they go in a MTM box bullet up, then after seating bullet down. At which time they are stored in that box. I don't put the loaded case back in the load block because working ...

Ammo box for 300blk

The plastic 223 ammo boxes by MTM and others have the dividers too high for my liking. I put the round bullet up in the case after seating and then flip them bullet down after a slight crimp with a LFCD. I do this with all calibers cause it helps me keep track of where I'm at. Anyone figure out anot...
