Nice color; imagine standing the GPO Watch on the brow in San Pedro!

been awhile

Like the subject line says: Its hard to believe that it's been around 5 years since I've posted on the forums here! The only thing that caused me some timeout on-line was about two years ago, while just walking in my house, maybe 15', I was gassed, out of breath, no chest pains, no other symptoms. T...

waiting....waiting...

Years ago I bought an Olympic Arms OA-93 pistol in 5.56/.223. When I got my AAC 300 BO upper and shot the 300 for the first time I said - I bet that this would be awesome in my OA-93. Fast forward to 3 weekends ago; my wife and I were in Dallas for a Custom Knife Show/Gun Show (I buy, sell, and trade...

Re: IMI UZI

Two barrels? Or does it have the factory 16" barrel and the stubby - dummy SMG made barrel? http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/albums/1911/uzi_2.jpg This is all that I got when I bought my IMI Uzi about 6 years ago for $1,200. Everything was factory except for the folding steel stock; from the f...

Steyr Scout

Something that I had wanted to buy for a while; when they first came to my local gun shop they didn't have any in .308; so I passed on it. I found this used Mannlicher Steyr Scout .308 at Bud's Gun Shop online. The original receipt for the gun was in the box; I paid $400 less then the original buyer...

Surplus Israeli High Power

AIM Surplus recently advertised FN High Powers (imported by Century with their BS Billboard Importer's mark) The price was right though for a Mk III High Power. These are from Israel, probably police; some (like mine) came with reflective tape on the slide. Finally got mine; 1990 vintage, ridden har...

French MAB Brevete Model D 7.65mm

The wife and I spent the weekend at a gun show in the small resort town of Houghton Lake, MI, north of Saginaw off I-75. Sold one rifle and bought yet another smaller "pocket" pistol. This is an interesting French MAB Brevete Model D chambered in 7.65mm aka .32 acp. An interesting history ...

West German Bundesgrenzschutz SIG P-210-4

The BGS, now the BundesPolizei (Federal Police) was the first post-WWII West German National Police Force, BGS stands for German Border Police. In the early 1950s they ordered 5,000 Sig P-210 9mm pistols, without a lanyard ring but with a loaded chamber indicator. I bought this last November, on Gun...

Re: Your suggestions please

Here's the Olympic Arms OA-93:

As you can see, there isn't a buffer tube; I've successfully used a single point sling, almost like a stock, by making it just short enough that when I lock my elbows it makes it almost as if I had a stock.
