Re: I'm still here....

I guess I fall under the "I'm still here" too! Lots of work, plenty of shooting but not a lot of time to post things. Still really loving my 300BLK SBR and I put a TON of 175gr subs and 147gr / 110gr supers downrange for training. Still here!

Re: 6.8 Question

Gotta say, the 6.8 SPC round is really flat and holds its energy so awesome on pigs! I had my 6.8 SPC II before the 300 BLK became popular so I have both. My 300 is more fun to shoot but for hogs, still going with the faster .270 based 6.8... oh and yeah, I agree the guys on the 68Forum are kind of ...

Re: 80% Lower Receiver (Cerro) w/ Safety Engraving or without $45.00 / $49.99

I got one of your Cerro forged, anodized with Safe/Fire markings a while back. Nice casting and it came out great using the 80% Arms jig. Not seeing those listings on the site anymore - will they be coming back in stock?

Re: When does the hoarding start?

Not that I would comply but I remind everyone that per AFT's own definitions, the "firearm" of an AR is simply the stripped lower. You feel the need to have something bought back, you disassemble and give them the stripped lower with the SN. ALL other parts are yours as the AFT doesn't rec...

Re: suggestions on uppers for suppressed work

One can ALWAYS recommend an AAC 9" upper - cant go wrong there BUT... if you do not intend to use an AAC suppressor, you have some work to do. All factory uppers for that size come with their AAC flash hider/suppressor mount already installed and they put it on with "Rockset" (think l...

Re: What Hornady Lock n' Load Powder Through Expander for 300blk?

curious - I have no loads that require expansion of the case to properly seat the bullets so are you sure you actually need a PDX? I have and use them for my 9/40/45 but not for any rifle calibers. I have loaded the following without any expansion: All Sierra MK 155-220gr bullets, Hornady 110 and 12...

Re: Ok I hate h110

Ok how do you work with h110. It is so fine that it runs everywhere. I'm using a Lyman electronic powder measure and scale and if you look at it wrong it will drop a few grains. It sticks to the funnel until you tap it a few times. There has to be a better way. Yeah - dryer sheet! A side benefit......

Re: 5.56 sbr

Also most suppressors will not warranty for use on 5.56 barrels shorter than about 10". What he said! One of the reasons 300BLK is popular is because you CAN suppress it down to an 8" barrel with no issues AND, it doesn't void the suppressor manufacturers warranty. Not the case with 5.56....

Re: Hornady 150gr FMJ-BT & COL

...another aspect to be mindful of when determining bullet seating depth is the shape of the particular bullets ogive and how/where it contacts the ribs along the side of the magazine in use. The MAGAZINES design was to accommodate the .224 bullets to properly align the cartridge for feeding INTO t...

Re: Any info regarding Barnes 120 Blacktips?

I spoke to a Barnes rep over the phone last year and he told me the 120 grain black tip ammo has the same penetration and expansion as the 110 grain Blacktip. I do not have any load data. Sooooo if that be the case... WHY did they retool and move from 110gr? Me thinks something not smell right here...
