Re: Barnes 110 vs Lehigh 115
Bumping to see if there are any updates from the 2018-2019 hunting season with the TAC-TX vs. the CCCu?? Also, anyone use 120gr Tac-TX and notice a difference? In watching some videos, I've also heard some comparisons of the older Controlled Chaos (brass), which said the brass version comes apart qu...

Re: for anyone following the new 350 legend - saami drawing released
Even though it is technically headspacing off the case mouth, I think the expansion of the case head to 0.390" was partially for feeding, butalso partially to assist in headspacing. Even if the case mouth is given a roll-crimp, the taper of the case into a tapered chamber would stop the cartrid...

Re: Question for Glock guys
I will say: my apologies for coming off gruff. I'm so sick of the boutique-shooters milling designs and decorations in their slides for cosmetic reasons with no regard for engineering. You have a very legitimate desire/reason for saving weight. It's just as everyone else has said: Not a good plan in...

Re: Question for Glock guys
I do a lot of backpacking and wanted a light pistol in 10mm for that use. I just purchased a G29 (compact concealed carry pistol) and plan on aggressively lightening it further with slide milling. Being 10mm, what design considerations do I need to think about? Will I need a beefier spring to accou...

Re: I swear I don't seek this out.
I'm in a Facebook reloading group, and a guy there recently asked about why he was getting pressure signs... He loaded 19.9grs of H-110 with a 220gr bullet, and the case heads were swollen (looked like a belted magnum case), and primers/headstamps were smeared flat... The best part was: He said the ...

Re: What was your best BlackFriday deal
They say women forget the pain of childbirth shortly after a baby is born. Looking back at receipts, it takes me about 5 years to forget the pain of making a purchase at Opticsplanet.com. My black Friday day purchase still hasn't shipped and its Christmas eve... Oh brother, I feel your pain! I purc...

Re: Liberty Chaotic Ti or Dead Air Nomad 30, or?
I think I've got it pinned down to either the Liberty Chaotic Ti https://libertycans.net/chaotic-ti/ or the Dead Air Nomad 30 https://deadairsilencers.com/products/nomad/ or I'm open to suggestions. Similar cans as far as I can tell, similar in weight, size, and cost, sort of. I have been debating ...

Re: 300 BLK, a Pain in the Brass
I've been hosed 2x buying "Once Fired" 300 BLK, with many shoulders set back too far. The first time appeared to be pull down brass, intact primers, but powder chunks and many short shoulders. Can't tumble it to clear out the occasional powder chunk without trashing the primers, bad idea ...

Re: What Loads are Most "Standard"
There is no standard load, but, in general, one could say the "non-exotic" loads fall into three categories: 1) 110-125gr Supersonics running 2000-2400 FPS, depending in barrel length. 2) "The cheapest load" 147gr M-80 bullet (new or pull-down, depending on availability and how c...
