Just got a box of these, I will use H110 loads, and my Lee FCD.
anybody else using these, they look promising, and the Barnes 110 black tips, did not shoot particularly well (factory ammo).

Re: Real accuracy expectations of AAC 16" MPW
The randomness of your symptoms would lend one to think it is a issue with the gun and not the ammo. I'ts not highly probably the AAC barrel came from the factory damaged. Eliminating scope and shooter issues I would look to gun part integration and make sure everything is fitting tight if you have...

And the weather has been near perfect, with several days being almost textbook E.G. 70f, 70% humidity, within feet of sea level, either zero wind or a very slight wind straight out of the south (into your face range on north south radial)
I will post up some targets latter today.

Re: Real accuracy expectations of AAC 16" MPW
You can try diagnosing some problems with a bore sight. Visual inspection the bore looks fine, I even cleaned it thoroughly, about 80 rounds back. I don't have access to a camera style setup. Barrel to action seem great with no movement (I had run into that with a previous AR) and with the URX 3.1 ...

Re: Trigger
Be cautious polishing or stoning a stock AR trigger, the hardened surfaces are very thin. The ALG trigger is made by Bill Geissele's Wife I have shot (and dry fired) some very nice feeling RRA 2 stage triggers, I just hear [read] too many stories of them going soft. My Geissele SSA-E (Super Semi Aut...

Re: 458 Socom Talk?
If a .458 SOCOM is recoiling REALLY hard , chances are you are over pressure. My 18" midlength shoots pretty smooth, until I exceed safe loads. It is a noticable change in recoil, from not bad, to a good kick (and brass pressure sign) 35,000 psi is the safe limit, to prevent the lugs shearing (...
