Re: 1/5 Twist and Supers
8" 1/5 twist, Nosler 110 Varmageddon, 2150 fps. Roughly 310,000 rpm on the bullet. Hot barrel, near the end of the first magazine on a walk through carbine course. My wife was shooting and I could see rounds basically flying everywhere, By the time I got her stopped the can was toast. ... When...

Re: 1/5 Twist and Supers
If you go with the 1:5 twist, It sounds as though some very popular loads for this cartridge may be excluded from what you can/should be using based on what others said. What comes to mind are the very popular for hunting and defense 110 grain bullets. If I am doing the math right, these would be s...

Re: 220 gr ELD-X recipe
The 300Blk chamber was designed for a 220 Sierra OTM at max OAL (2.250"), I would start with the ELD-X at the same length.

Re: Ejector Smear - Overpressure?
I've been loading this for years with minimal pressure signs: 125 TNT 18gr of H110/W296 converted LC brass 2.075" OAL Mag Primers 1950fps from an 8.5" barrel I've been a high as 18.7gr which was definitely showing pressure signs. Your pressure signs wouldn't cause me to lose sleep, but get...

Re: Any load data for 217gr with H110, 4227, and Lil'Gun?
I use berry's 220 gr cast plated bullets in my 8.5" SBR. I would think these would shoot similar to the Gallant bullets.
For 4227:
Charge: 11gr
OAL: 2.2"
Light Lee factory crimp
Avg Vel: 1071fps
Stdev: 17 (n=5)
No pressures signs.
For 4227:
Charge: 11gr
OAL: 2.2"
Light Lee factory crimp
Avg Vel: 1071fps
Stdev: 17 (n=5)
No pressures signs.

Re: Little Crow Gunworks - WFT2 issues with formed brass
Does your brass fit in a chamber gage? Sheridan is the best. Wilson head space gage is nearly worthless for forming. A very common problem for people new to converting brass is that the brass is not actually in spec even after going through the sizing die. Forming has much higher forces and increase...

Re: Speer reloading data
Just looked at my Speer phone app and it doesn't even list lil'gun as an option for 150gr bullets. ... Look like Speer is using Sierra data. Even tho that Sierra 150 is a FMJ and will have more pressure build up than a Speer bullet, 18 grains of Lil'gun as a starting load is asking for troub...
