Re: Someone please help me understand these numbers!

First, does anybody have any explanation as to why I had such a large increase in velocity with the slightly longer 18.8gr rounds? Yup. You were into the lands. Higher pressure. I’ve never used that bullet, does it jam that short? No idea. But I sounded confident, didn't I. Plus it's a Noveske.

Re: Merry Christmas to Me

Couple of observations: 1. Sh!tloads better than a chrony you have to shoot through, especially when others are shooting at the range. I hated making others wait while I aligned the old chrony. Also the data files...nice! 2. Despite spending $500 for this thing, I'm too cheap to buy AA batteries. Si...

I was lucky to hit the floor with them
Explain, please. Were these something you reloaded or purchased? Details on the round. Just how bad were they? Do you use a suppressor?

I have never seen a 125 TMK shoot poorly. Something ain't right.

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

Has anyone tried loading these long at 2.28+ coal on a R700 or other platform that isn’t limited by usgi ar15 mags coal? I have a few pounds of 1680 and I’ve been very unimpressed by the accuracy of the Barnes 110/120 TSX loads in the 700 AAC barrel. In my Rem M7 the Gold Dot will hit the lands at ...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

The more people who document and share their actual velocity and drop, the more it will help others. As mentioned way back, I guesstimated a G1 BC of .360 based on a 100 yard zero and drop at 300. Just ran a few LabRadar results through the JBM online calculator and it's averaging around .351. That...

Oh thank God! I thought you were going to say you bought a 6.5 Creedmoor.
Nothing wrong with the Creedmoor. The Swedes have been using it successfully for well over a century. :P

I couldn't load the pig into the back of the pickup. getting old and weak at 68.
BTDT. Now a piece of 3/4" ply and a rope puller stay in the bed during hunting season.

Well done!

Stay away from match ammo and bullets with thin copper jackets.
I think I'll start carrying some Sierra 135 varmint rounds for when the deer aren't biting. Might be able to see completely through a javelina before it falls over. :P
