Good news (so far)

They size down very easily in a .309 Lee sizer die with some Hornady One Shot spray lube.
Have you measured them after sizing? I've run the 123's mentioned by Plant through a .308 die and they spring back to .309".

Re: Load development while waiting on suppressor

I used to see around 30 fps difference back when I occasionally shot without a suppressor.

You may want to wait until you have it in hand before loading a gallon zip-loc of your most accurate load. A suppressor can change more than just velocity.

Re: Hey Guys newbie intro and a ?

Welcome. There are three options for form 4473, Question 16: Handgun, Long gun, or Other (fame, receiver, etc) . Hopefully the seller is smart enough to check other, although I wouldn't lose any sleep either way.

Re: A1680 and 230gn HPBT SMK issue!

Nothing wrong with compressing A1680. You could load that bullet to mag length to compress a little less, and you need a new seater stem if you're messing up the bullet. Personally, I would (and have) run with the 200-220 gr. HPBT rather than the 230.

Re: Buying a gun - No CCW?

the stupid BATFE just changed the rules here for michigan ... your cpl no longer stands in lieu of the NICS phone call, because recreational marijuana is legal here now, and our state doesnt mandate a drug test to get your CPL to confirm you're not a "habitual user". https://www.thetruthaboutguns.c...

That pic looks funny to me. Are you sure you're using the correct shellholder?

Re: Changing col increments

We had a guy here a few years back who proved mathematically that the best load would ALWAYS be found within .016" of max length. Of course he couldn't define max length, and it took him over half a year to produce a MOA load which, upon examination, wasn't exactly MOA. Wasn’t me. I promise. ...

Re: Sighting a scope in for subs and supers?

I have several 300 BLK firearms. It would make sense to dedicate one each to subs and supers, but I like to make things difficult. :P To me it's easiest to use exposed turrets, sight in for supers at 100, and then learn the come-up for subs at various ranges by actual shooting. In general, up 2 mils...

Re: Lockdown loading

I'm a member of a private outdoor range south of Houston. We have individual pistol bays with concrete dividers. The 25/50 yard range has benches about twelve feet apart. At the hundred yard range benches I'd guess are eight feet apart, but even on weekends it's very rare that all are taken. The 300...
