Barnes 110 vs Lehigh 115

I’ve been using the Barnes 110 Black tips for deer hunting. Shot everything from does to big ol 11pt trophy bucks. Been able to recover every animal I’ve shot so far. The problem I have is the difficulty in getting a pass through with this bullet. Many times I recover a nice copper mushroom just und...

Re: Hornadys new offerings for hunting?

I'm surprised no one here has done any real world tests on any of these yet.

Re: Hornadys new offerings for hunting?

What bullet is the #30192? It looks like that's the one they offer as a factory load and not the SST.

Unless there's more than what's here and I'm not seeing it:

Re: Hornadys new offerings for hunting?

The ones you linked are bullets only. I'm referring to the loaded ammo. I was just going by their website: http://m.hornady.com/store/300-Blackout-125-gr-HP-American-Gunner/ If that's an SST designed for blk speeds, then I'm intrigued. I've have good luck with the 150gr version in .308. Gotta go bac...

Re: Hornadys new offerings for hunting?

Is the 125gr they offer an SST? All I can find from them is that it's a hp. From their website "match grade hollow point bullets". Sounds more like an OTM or something similar. Also if the pictures they show are accurate they are not tipped like the other SST's I've used.

Hornadys new offerings for hunting?

I'm wondering if anyone has tested hornadys newer loads. Either hunting or in a decent wet paper/gel test. The 110 gmx, 125 hp, and 135 ftx is what I'm looking at. I'm not to familiar with those bullets and what they do at blk speeds. Also do they have any of the troubles of the 110 vmax? I had prob...

Barnes 120gr blacktips in the wild?

Do these exist? I'm not set up to reload the BLK so I'm looking for factory loaded ammo not the bullets. I was excited when I heard Barnes was making the 120s, but that was awhile back and I have yet to see any anywhere. I'm starting to whitle down my supply of 110s and my plan was to switch over to...

Re: Barnes 120 TAC-TX

How do these velocities compare with the 110 factory loaded stuff? I'm interested in the differences between the two especially in a shorter (10.5) bbl.

Re: Scary Afternoon

Sounds to me like your son did an excellent job. You should be proud. He kept a very level head in a scary situation. You taught him well.

Re: 300 Black scopes

"I then am + or - ~2.3" out to ~200-250 yards."
Might want to double check that. I'm showing -4 at 225 and -7 at 250. That's if you are shooting blacktips.
