Re: Barter Club needed for Gun community
emmagee1917, thank you for the heads up about the oversize primer holes in the Winchester brass. I bought them as part of a purchase of used range brass, did not know they were for plastic bullet use. I guess I will have to crunch them up, unless someone has a source for plastic bullets and wants th...

Re: Barter Club needed for Gun community
If someone wants to swap for 45 AUTO Large Primer Winchester brass cases, I am looking for 45 AUTO SMALL PRIMER brass cases. I have several hundred cases, looking for similar swap quantity. The WINCHESTER cases have a large FLASH HOLE, like twice the normal diameter, maybe from NT primers?

Re: Seater die
Redding Competition Seater Dies are great for seating to exact (repeatable) COL but its a matter of measure twice for each cartridge because of inconsistent ogive shapes. drayks

Re: .223 to 5.56
Resurrecting an old post. In regards to converting a .223REM chamber to 5.56NATO chamber---Ned Christiansen of MICHIGUNS sells a Neck and Throat Reamer that does NOT change HEADSPACE, but cuts neck and leade if they are .223 REM to 5.56NATO. Will work on steel, SS and used chrome chambers, but not o...

Re: Expander button vs Neck Expander Die
Another alternative is not to use an expander at all. I full length resize to get the neck hole round, then inside chamfer, then seat the bullet with a centering Redding precision seating die. Voila!, no use of an expander. If your die squeezes the neck and shoulder back to where it should be, why o...

I agree with etmci post, wet SS pin tumblers brass is polished CLEAN on the inside every time. drayks

Check out the Sharps Rifle Company BCG made out of S7 steel with DLC coating. Bought two of them. Highly recommend--drayks

Sharps XPB BCG users
Recently purchased a Sharps XPB Bolt Carrier Group that was on sale, but haven't shot it yet. Anyone have any personal experience with one? I bought it because my original bolt was showing some pitting (gas erosion?) on the face where the outer edge of the primers would be. I wanted to buy an improv...

Re: Why exactly do YOU support the NRA? (If you do)
I support the NRA as a LIFE member because they actually exert pressure on politicians to keep my 2A rights. As far as I know they are the most influential group to do so. I don't agree with ALL that they do, but enough to keep my support. If you have any firearms, you SHOULD support some group that...
