Re: BARNES .308 110 GR. TACT X BLUE TIP

These bullets are very effective against deer and hogs out of a non-lever 30-30Win,300Savage,7.62X39(.310" bore),and even a 308Win at 2800-3000 or so.
Best of luck with the sale of these bullets sir. --- pruhdlr

Re: new member first post

Welcome to the forum sir. I also have a Mini-14 chambered in 300BLK. I have a Redfield 2-7X33 Accurange scope on it. I would agree with the above post re. which bullets to load/shoot. Would reccomend that you stay >131gr for hunting. The Barnes 110gr TAC-TX (#30321) works great in the Mini,my Handi ...

Re: Have they fixed Ruger American Ranch Rifle's feeding problem???

I own a RARR with short stock. I have three of the rotary mags for this gun. I have never had any kind of feeding problem, mag loading problem,or any other kind of problem associated with the mags. I have shot about 6-8 different loads, from different manufacturers, using different bullets. My buddy h...

Re: Most accurate round for my 300 aac setup

If you will be using factory ammo, would suggest that you try the Barnes 110gr TAC-TX first.
Both my guns absolutely love this factory load. In fact,I have not come up with any combo that is more accurate by handloading.

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

Thanks for the work(fun) with this bullet gentlemen. Sounds like it will be my "go to" heavy weight hunting bullet. Between these and the 110gr TAC-X the 300BLK will be an excellent hunter. My guns are a bolt and a single shot so reloading for the BO is super easy. Remember,IMO when figuri...

Re: Any play with the big bores?

Have had my eye on one of these guns for some time now. Have had a RARR chambered in 300BLK for some time now and absolutely love it. Especially the trigger(with mod). Just wondering if you shot that 450B before you removed the factory brake, and if so what the difference is. I have been told by a co...

Re: brass vendors

I got some brass from a vendor on this forum about 3 years ago now. About 20-30% of the brass would not hold a primer adaquately. Some, you could actually push in with your finger. I contacted him and he replaced every piece (IIRC,300) with brass that was great. He simply told me to dispose of the fi...

Would suggest that you only load up several rounds.
Remember that you have the overpressure and the smell.

Re: Looks like the Army is getting a couple new calibers

My thoughts - - ->
The US military (all branches, all components) will never adopt the 6.8SPC or the 300BLK for use in warfighting.
BTW . . . (full disclosure) . . . I own multiples of both chamberings. They do have their place in my "tool bag". ---- pruhdlr
