Re: First range session with new AAC barrelled blackout.
For my CMMG 16" 1 in 7 COL 2.013 Comparator 1.619. For my Wilson Combat 18" 1 in 8 COL 1.950 Comparator 1.555. My Wilson Barrel has some really tight tolerances more like you find on a bolt gun rather than an AR. Both Guns will do .5 @ 100 yards with Varminters. There is a thread on this f...

Re: First range session with new AAC barrelled blackout.
The Varminter failed to load last round is common. I found that if I used a Lancer L5 AWM mag in 10 or 30 round I did not have the last round fail in my gun. Seems to be my Magpuls follower would set the bullet to far to the left and the last round would hit the left feed ramp and damage the bullet ...

Re: copper residue on bolt....
I had the same problem while using Lil Gun powder. My CMMG did not show anything on the bolt but typical stuff while I was using 300-mp. First set of test loads with Lil Gun I started getting copper build up on bolt, I have some still welded on that will not come off without damaging it. Stopped usi...

Re: Power Pro 300 MP Load Data
Out of curiosity, did you have a chrono on those 17.5 gr loads? I bet those 147 gr's were cookin in more ways than one.

Re: Power Pro 300 MP Load Data
Well I guess you guys answered the question I had about how much compression 300-MP will take before the "Bootleg Fireworks" effect takes over or at least close to it. 1/2 inch is more than I thought you could do with that powder and still type about it.

Re: Barnes 110 TSX coal
TSX-TX Barnes number 30835. These are very sensitive to seating depth. What worked the best in my AR was OAL 2.128 comparator 1.532. Do you get a noticeable increase in accuracy loading them that long ? I might want to go with a little more crimp if I was only putting about 0.17 inch of the base in...

Re: Inexpensive plinking load?
Probably if you do not want to wait on the blemished bullets, try the Nosler 110 Varmageddon. They can be found for around $25 per 100. Probably the easiest to come by at this point in time.

Re: Varmageddon FTFs
I tried the published OAL of 2.025 on 40, (workups and test) at that OAL never had a Failure to Feed.
I tried 40 more but at 2.060 and had 3 Failure to Feeds, exactly like you are seeing. My groups were much better with the 2.060 but had the feed issue. Just sayin!
