Re: Couple Q's on repeat-ability and desired tolerances...

Thanks for reply. Headspacing is some what controlled - I sort sub rounds vs super - this was a single step that made the biggest impact. I use all Lapua brass with annealing every other firing. I'm getting around 1-2 thou consistency on average with a couple 3-4ish out. I believe I've read some th...

Re: Couple Q's on repeat-ability and desired tolerances...

When making match ammunition, I tend to measure, base to ogive, each bullet in a box and sort by size. Then you'll have to decide which is more important, relationship to lands( ogive ) or relationship to powder. ( base ) Conventional supersonic match ammunition tends to be more concerned with ogive...

Re: Hello everyone. Newby here, have 2 - 300 blackouts

I always choose accuracy and precision over speed. However, if I had a super consistent load that shot 1.5 MOA every time, I wouldn't be afraid to hunt with it. I would know the limitations of that load and adjust my hunting parameters for it. Truth be known, if you a laser beam of a rifle, we will ...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

There are 2 rifles that I would like to take a deer with this year, one is my M7 6x45. Already have the 85 gr. Nosler Partition load for it. Would love to get the 80 gr TTSX shooting to suit me. The other is my CZ 527 in 300 BLK with the 150 GD. Hogcaller has got me fairly fired up to take it first.

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

I, for one, really appreciate all the work and documentation that Dellet and Rebel have done on this projectile. Really everyone else who has contributed as well. I have ordered up 200 projectiles to load up my self, and hope to be able to do some testing this hunting season. With a child due in 3 ...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

I didn't really understand what you meant by "real world". Perhaps you should have said, recovered bullet from an animal. If they are passing through, and the animal dies in a quick, humane manner - that, coupled with the gel test dellet performed, says all I need it to say. Yes, he shot the gel fir...

What, the gel test? saw that. Lets see real world tests instead of gel.
Is that not a dead pig on the previous page? I'd pretty much call that real world.
