Re: Help needed building my 300 blackout

Buy a high quality complete upper and build a lower with a good trigger. Wa la 1800 and it's guaranteed to run. 200 to build a ar is crazy. My guy charges me 30 bucks and it's done while I'm eating lunch. They always end up costing just as much as it would to just call up Wilson combat and have the...

Re: I'm not one to question SOCOM but here goes...

I don't understand what (T) and (O) stand for . The correct goals are : 100 yards 3.0 MOA ( about 3 inches )(T) and 2.0 MOA ( about 2 inches )(O) . 300 yards 5.0 MOA ( about 15 inches )(T) and 3.0 MOA ( about 9 inches )(O) . Chris Threshold (T) - minimum acceptable to declare success Objective (O) ...

Re: I'm cursed with Class 3 dealers

I'd also find another dealer for future purchases. There is an unfortunate amount of ignorance out there, even among dealers and others who should know better or be smart enough to actually read the statutes and rules before spouting their "wisdom." I'm also a "Powered By" Dealer since January 2016 ...

Re: Carbine buffer in a rifle buffer tube

Not only purchasing but making your own will be effected by the HPA. I spent about $150 building one that is a very good performer. If it passes there will undoubtedly be a rush on both prebuilt suppressors and parts to make them. This will be a good deal for those with the skills, tooling and mach...

Re: "Pending" status

Anything after July 13th, you might be in for a very long wait. Why? The rush will be over, the 10 zillion people that were beating the deadline will have got their forms back. I'm sure it will take another 4 months to clear the log jam of pre rule change submissions. But we will see everything go ...

Re: Hey OGs, Ya think any of the Nae sayers came back with new names?

So, Rebel opened that wound... I think I qualify as an OG since I joined in Mar 2013 at the height of the 6.8 vs 300BLK Holy War. I was pretty much absent for a couple of years since life got in the way. Rather than hijack this thread, I think I'll start a new one..."Welcome back to Me" perhaps to u...

Re: Carbine buffer in a rifle buffer tube

Thanks everyone for the input. It was a tech from Brownells that led me to purchase the rifle length buffer and spring for this build. I've got a spacer on the way and I'm going to try a carbine buffer and spring from another one of my rifles, hope it works. I really don't plan on using subs unless...

Re: Carbine buffer in a rifle buffer tube

I just put together a 300 blk AR and I am having what looks to be signs of over pressure with factory ammo, Remington UMC 120gr. No malfunctions other than the bolt won't lock back on the last round. I am using a magpul moe rifle stock and rifle length buffer tube. The gun has a 16" barrel with a c...

Re: how bad did i screw myself

Great update! My experience with the NFA Branch both as a consumer and SOT (since Dec 2015) has been very positive. Everyone I've talked to has shown a genuine interest in getting their job done efficiently and helping with problems. As far as copies of the Trust... I got a request about 6 months ag...
