Coyote Zero Distance
I use a thermal scope to hunt coyotes at night with a 300 Blackout AR15. It is difficult to judge distance at night and I wanted to stay with the Blackout round instead of switching to a flatter shooting round. With that said at what distance would you set the zero while using the Blackout? Most of ...

"Quieter" Supersonic Powders
Since I never knew that different Subsonic powders are quieter than others does the same hold true for supersonic suppressed loads. I coyote hunt at night and I want to keep the gun report as quiet as possible. I am currently shooting a Ruger American suppressed. The loads are 125 Grain SST over H11...

Re: Lightweight Subsonic Loads over 4227 or Unique
The reason I am asking is anecdotally to my ear and others the Trail Boss is significantly louder. When I load Trail Boss with the 90 Grain XTP I always get a "pssst" when I fire the gun. I am running a Ruger American with different Silencerco Suppressors. When I loaded the 90 Grain XTP ov...

Lightweight Subsonic Loads over 4227 or Unique
Has anyone loaded any lightweight subsonics (110 and less) over 4227 or Unique? I will only be shooting these loads in bolt action rifles.
Do either one of these powders need a case filler?

Re: AAC Not Feeding even Manually
More information on my issues. I do have PMag branded magazines and it appears to only be a problem with the 20 round magazines. I was able to try my 20 round magazine in another rifle and the same issues were present. Besides the obvious differences the only other thing I can see is that the 20 rou...

AAC Not Feeding even Manually
I have an 16" AAC MPW rifle with a JP Silent Buffer installed. I am using 20 round and 30 round Pmags and even when you manually cycle the gun it will not pick up the next round. It is like the bolt is going over the top of the shell without ever engaging the next round. It appears to be a grea...

Re: Zeroing Subsonic Bullets
Just to give you an idea of a night schedule I might hunt. I may set up for a coyote near a cow pasture and I will shoot suppressed Subsonic using 194 Grain Lehigh ME over Unique in a bolt action. Leave that stand we will switch to the 190 Nosler over Unique (which is deadly on armadillos that destr...

Re: Zeroing Subsonic Bullets
I should have said that I have an addiction to using a lot of different bullets and want to use them hunting. I am as ethical of a hunter as you will find. I spend a lot of time with a press and loads at the range. I was hoping someone like Dellet could confirm some of my results. I watch my velocit...

Zeroing Subsonic Bullets
I have a bad addiction to using several different Subsonic bullets and loads to hunt with at night. How close will these loads be to the same point of aim? What distance would you use for your zero? Can I average out these loads and be pretty close using only one zero for all the loads on my scope. ...

Re: Coyote/Hog loads
I also am not worried about fur, but I need a good combination coyote and hog load. Is the 125 Grain Hornady SST a viable hog and coyote load? Night Hunting suppressed Ruger American bolt action with thermal so most shots should be under 200 yards with most less than 100 yards.
