Re: Re-sizing .310 pulls?
Yes. I was mainly doing it last year when there were no .308 bullets in the 110-125gr range. I have been buying the Hornady 123gr 7.62 (.310"dia) V-Max bullets for ~22ish cents each and resizing them down to .308"dia. using my CH4D bullet sizer. I found that these were abundant and cheap, ...

Re: Looking for Assistance With This Load Workup
Thanks, yeah, this is my first foray into bulk powders, but since I got 16 lbs, I figured I only need to work up a load once for each cartridge and I'm set for quite a while. I think I will definitely go to the standard buffer weight, and maybe load up some 110gr bullets as well and see if the light...

Re: Looking for Assistance With This Load Workup
It is a carbine gas system.
I think I may try using 110gr bullets and the standard buffer next weekend.
Do you think the powder would be good for that?

Looking for Assistance With This Load Workup
Okay, so I bought 16lbs of WC820 when Jeff Bartlett had it for sale, and I am trying to work up a load using some blemished Midway bullets. The bullets are remarkably similar to the Hornady 123gr .310 (7.62x39mm) bullets that they sell. I resized them down to .308 with a CH4D bullet sizer. Regarding...

Re: BLK is the powder?
I PMed this to jettcity1 but figured I might as well spread the knowledge. Go check out the WC820 over at GIBrass.com . I have ordered brass and projectiles from Jeff before (500-7.62x51, 1,000-.45 ACP, 2,000(or so)-.308 147 and 150gr FMJBT, etc. . .), and you get exactly what he describes. I see no...

Re: First time casting advice
$1 per pound is a fair price if it has been smelted into ingots. I will pay more for wheel weights or lino-type that has been smelted. FYI- One of the best features of the Lee lead hardness tester is you can test the ingots you buy. I can test any lead that will fit through my loading press between...

Re: First time casting advice
If I live in the greater Seattle area, what would be a decent going rate for scrap lead, per pound? Most people selling it want $1.00/lb. Is that a good price? If not, what would be a good counter offer?
