Re: Back from deer hunting trip to brother's Georgia farm
Thanks for the reply + history of your load work ! Nothing beats experience. I have only been (re) loading for a cpl of years and am probably a little too anal about it still, lol.... (I just want em to go BANG when + how they are supposed to, NO other time or way AND most importantly NO damage to w...

Re: Back from deer hunting trip to brother's Georgia farm
My load: Formed LC brass no crimp no anneal Wolf/Tula KVB223M primers (aka 223 primers) Nosler 125gr BT 19.0gr H110 2.2" oal Please note the oal. It makes a difference as to the amount of powder you can use. Shorter, use less powder. The 187yd shot was pushing it, as I knew the velocity would ...

Re: Is 17 grns of H110 too much?
[/quote] Lil'Gun has pressure spikes at low temps - which is why load data for it stops early. I recommend you don't use max loads in Lil'Gun. I see no reason for Lil'Gun at all - it even ate my powder dispenser. I would use it if I have it though (and I do - which I will save in case I need powder)...

Re: Is 17 grns of H110 too much?
I had great results with Hornady 110 V-Max, but not so much with Nosler 125 grn B/T. Which is strange coz 2 boxes of Remington 125 factory ammo ran great ? I bought the 300 BLK gauge from Brad Sheridan + it seems like most of my stuff is in spec, so I am still a little perplexed about the Nosler res...

Re: Is 17 grns of H110 too much?
I have been looking for Min-Max load data for 147 grn BTJHP. I have a bunch of Winchester bullets in that size and I would like to try them in the Black. (I plan on using 125 grn for most of my shooting, but since I have so many of these Winchester bullets, I would like shoot a few) The Hodgdon page...

Re: 300 AAC BLACKOUT FAQ
Howdy Robert, just a quick note to say THANK YOU for all of the awesome info here ! I am fairly new to BLACK, but am learning to love it pretty quickly ! I am still in the early stages of load testing (just got my chrony) but I am really enjoying this weapon ! The info that has accumulated on the fo...

Re: AAC 125 OTM Recipes
I had GREAT results with H-110 and Lilgun powders with Hornady 110 Grn V-Max bullets, but went to crap with 125 grain Nosler B/T at most of the Hodgdon listed loads. Going to do a lot more testing to try to figure out why ? 16" Stainless, 1:8 twist bbl in a Sota Arms Upper w/ YHM lower, and I a...

Re: Basic reloading question.
OK....FINALLY ! Sota Arms 16" Stainless upper, 1 in 8 twist, YHM Lower. Together at long last  Tested H-110 today with 110 grain Hornady V-Max. 19.8 grains and 20.0 (max) both gave me 3/4" groups @ about 80 yards. Still gotta test the Lilgun loads on these bullets, then on to 125 grai...

Re: Brass question
wldtrky, I have trimmed one batch of brass to 1.345 inches. Way short. I have had no problems. I know this is short but it is part of a long term experiment. I plan on loading this brass 2 dozen time and a few more. I'm keeping a record of lengthening as this progresses (On loading cycle 6). I am a...
