Barnes Vor-TX 110gr

Any idea who has the current best deal on 110gr Blacktips? I'm doing a little Christmas shopping, and I know an AR that would LOVE some more of this ... Also, is there a preferred ammo bot for finding this stuff? I've had good luck using Bots for general bulk ammo, but less luck securing good deals ...

Re: AR Pistol Build in 300BLK- technical questions

The only problems I've experienced so far seem to be feed-related: 1 bolt-over-base malfunction with a magazine (20 rnd Pmag) that had been left loaded for a year. My guess is that the mag spring did not push the round up fast enough to be caught by the bolt. That was with a standard carbine buffer-...

Re: AR Pistol Build in 300BLK- technical questions

H2, copy. What are the symptoms of a too-light buffer in a pistol/SBR with 300 blk?

Re: AR Pistol Build in 300BLK- technical questions

FWIW, The poster above who estimated 2100 FPS for the Black Tips was not far off. I'm getting 2092 as an average out of an 8" CMMG barrel. 8) Any idea what buffer I should run for this? The gun will be dedicated to Supers, and, with the exception of the first shot, everything cycled fine, but my rou...

AR Pistol Build in 300BLK- technical questions

All- I'm hopping on the AR pistol bandwagon, because I can, and I like the idea of a a short, handy AR that I can take when I travel home to visit family without the hassle of the SBR, or toss in my trunk without worrying about the problems associated with having an NFA weapon go missing. Yes, I own...

Re: Another Magazine Question (for subs)

yeah, I don't get out the tools on anything until I know I need to do so. Removing material is easy. Putting it back on is hard.

Re: Another Magazine Question (for subs)

Talon,

Thanks for the reply. Since you modified your AWM mags, do you think it is worthwhile to upgrade to the AWM mags from the standard L5 mags, or do you think that doing with modification to the standard L5 mags would yield equivalent results?

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Sight in distance Question

FWIW, I don't think that the can has to make anything "ear safe " indoors. Ear safe implies that it is safe to shoot repeatedly/constantly indoors without earpro. That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that will not flatten the skull of my 6 year old if I have to light a couple o...

Re: Another Magazine Question (for subs)

Thanks. Could you do me a favor and take a look when you have a chance? I may order some AWMs if that is the case. I could use the older L5s for supers and the L5 AWMs for subs. That would leave all of my pmags and aluminium mags for 5.56 ...
