Re: Beginner looking to learn! .300BO load data?

As far as your second question goes, Since rifle cases often need trimmed for length consistency, most progressive press loaders use a 2 pass process. In the first pass, clean, lube, size/decap, another clean. At this point trim. 2nd pass...primer, powder, powder check, bullet seat, crimp. There are...

Re: 300 failure to feed

Some gas blocks are designed to be butted against the shoulder, some are not. Seems like you have a gas block misalignment issue from what you describe. Almost make sure your bcg is fully lubed for break in.

Re: 300 failure to feed

A. What ammo?
B. What mag?
C. What is an AP BCG?
D. Free float Handguard?
E. If D. = Y, then did you space your gas block back from the ridge(as if there were a handguard retainer ring in place?

Re: Best 1in 8" twist bullet weight for 200m accuracy

My 1:8 twist Daniel Defense Barrels REALLY like the 125 gr Speer TNT and the 130gr Speer Varminter. They DO NOT like ANY 110gr. If you want to spend more, they also like the 150gr Gold Dots.

All of my Hornady 300 BLK AND 300 Whisper has been crimped. Over a 1000 rounds of once fired.

Yep...they work well. I prefer the 125 gr TNT, but the 130s are GTG

Re: Need a Plinking Bullet

I use Speer TnT 125gr...sorry, but none of my 300blk guns like any 110gr bullet. I have been able to get them recently as low as 13 - 14 cents each.

Re: Ring around bullet when using hornady bullet seating die

If your expander ball is too small, the die manufacturer should replace it. Again, another recommendation to contact the manufacturer.

No ruckus at all.

Re: Ring around bullet when using hornady bullet seating die

Thanks for dragging me back into this one Dellet!!! ROFLMAO 1. My initial opinion/suggestion was based on my personal experience loading for 458 SOCOM with Redding dies. 2. The 458 SOCOM requires a considerably greater amount of force to seat ANY bullet than 300blk due to the increased surface area....
