Re: minimum shell length
Dummy round test update: Made 3 more but theses were non crimped ones with an OAL 2.04" Loaded them into a magazine and cycled them. To my surprise they worked 2x in. A row. I then loaded again but with the 1.93 one on top. As before that one jammed but the rest cycled. looks like these plated ...

Re: minimum shell length
Made a dummy round(1.362 case and 1.935 OAL) and put it a magazine. Inserted mag and cocked my 300 AR. Gun took the round and with the cocking handle ejected the round. The plated bullet had some marks on it. I did it again at an open bolt and used the release button. This time the bolt started to p...

Re: minimum shell length
I don't quite know how to answer this question. I trim my brass to 1.345 inches after forming. That is between your two listed limits. I would think the true minimum would be where the neck is too short to grip the bullet with suitable neck tension to hold. Next difficulty is " use a crimp &qu...

minimum shell length
Is there a minimum shell length for the 300 blk?
I have bunch of converted 223/556 brass and sizes range from 1.334 - 1.368"
I want to use a crimp on some flat nose 125gr non canalure bullets (range use)and also not sure how the shortest length will affect the build.

Re: Loaded ammo that won't fit Sheridan gauge?
Was hand loading some 124gr speer tnt and made 200 rounds when I got m guage and ran into the same problem. after emails to the owner (very helpfull)we came up that my combination of Lee dies and my old rock chucker piggyback shell plate did not fully size the brass as well as the Lee dies and shell...

Re: Dissapator version of 300 Blackout?
Id just put a long free float tube over whatever barrel length you want. Mount the FS at any position you want on the tube The only advantage to the dissipator design was full 20" rifle sight radius on a 16" barreled gun. Same thing a long FF handguard gives you. Not true. The dissapator ...
