I've got a savage I'm handloading for in the blackout. Barrels new and 16 inch. shooting 220 smk with a oal 2.20. I shot 5 strings about two weeks ago starting at 8.6, 8.7, 8.9, 9.0 of lilgun. Did not have a chrono that day to get speeds but 8.6 and 8.7 sounded sub. 8.9 had 3 that broke the barrier....

I loaded my first 8000 rounds on a lee breech lock. I have yet to see it break in half cause they painted it red. Still use it for my blackout loading.

I went and ran 10 pieces of new formed unprimed brass through. Measured lengths before cycled and measured again. They are not crushing. But I get a nice firm bolt handle at the bottom of the stroke. It feels right. Ill post pics if its not.

I did it your way and crank down fairly good. I put a piece of tape on it and it still closes. Should I turn it a little further. What type tape.

I know I can rent them, but I can buy them. Does anyone on here have one near the Richmond va area for a setup. Or mail them as a rental. I've done it by hand and feels close but I rather check it properly.

125gr nosler over lil gun. 90 yards. Hit him high and severed the spine. Bullet came apart in the spine and I only found fragments. He dropped where he stood. First kill with 300blk. Very happy. What did the vitals look like when you opened her up? Sounds like a good clean kill, I'm just curious is all.
