Re: First day home for Huntertown Arms Kestrel 7.62AK on 300 BO..

I like mine. Whith that being said its like comparing apples and oranges. The bore on the 7.62 ak is wide enough for a 9mm. Shooting .308 subs out of my remington 700 it sounded like a .22 I'm fairly positive it was going supersonic down range. I haven't had time to shoot in years to try handloads. ...

Re: *******Free Trust*******

Wow... I cant see anything much to different from the trust I had drafted legal wise(other than some specific terminology) in comparison to the one you posted. Good on you maryland_shooter praise you for trying to help others with this post. This person hasn't a clue. Based on the grammar in the pos...

Re: Is an & symbol ok to Put in NFA Trust Name?

For shortness how about just "the yourlastname NFA trust"? Or "yourlastname NFA trust". I added a "the" to mine because it sounds more official and regal. I did "the first name last name NFA trust" not completely short but when I go to engrave it has my name o...

Re: Got the ball rolling

Great that helped a lot. Here is a copy pasted post by huntertown guru Steve from the lik above... The K9 is specifically tuned for 9mm and 300 Blackout which use different powders and have different first chamber pressures than the 7.62x39. It can be used in abusive full auto applications. It is sm...

Re: Got the ball rolling

Awesome everything still seems a long ways out for me still. I didn't find much info on the kestrel 9 though. Seems there is tons of stuff for their .22 lines. Some for the 7.62 and 5.56.

Re: Got the ball rolling

Got my trust drafted. It reads correct and well written specifically to NFA materials. So just need to get my dad to go see the notary public. Then set up a account under the trust and add it to the trust documents. Very pleased for the 149 I paid.

Re: Piston kits that work on 300Blackout?!?!?!

I initially tried the Adams arms piston before I did my homework. The bolt carrier would come back about 1/2 the length of the ejection cover. Even with a suppressor I don't think it would have enough gas to make it go. The only advantage to the Adams arms is the ease of Turning the piston off with ...
