I had a similar issue a while back. It turned out that my gas block set screws had worked their way loose. The pin was still there, but quite a bit of the gas was getting out at the block.

Instead of developing another supersonic bullet I wish they would work on a subsonic bullet that would expand at sub velocitys!! We have the 110gn tac tx (blk tip) that works very well, so why develop another one 20 gn higher in weight when we all need a affordable sub bullet that will expand. Amen...

When you were testing, were you loading up 10 rounds of test ammo #1 into a 20 or 30 round magazine and then loading and charging the action? Maybe the first round isn't getting seated the same way as the subsequent rounds that were loaded by gas-operated charging? GOOD POINT! I didn't even conside...

This was all tested in a 9" AAC 1:7 barrel on a LAR Side Charging Upper at 100 yards. 6-8" off at 100 yards kinda makes it useless for hunting hogs. The only saving grace is that it is consistent and predictable. I COULD just hold over 6-8" on the first shot. I probably won't though....
