Isn't it a required step when assembling an upper to check headspace? how can they warrant the assembly when you are using someone else's upper receiver? If you are purchasing just their barrel and assembling the upper yourself (or having someone other than PSA doing it) then they are 100% correct....

Really can't lose with an Aimpoint. I've got the Micro T-1 and CompM2 mounted on both my ARs. On the kids' 10/22, is a Primary Arms M3 that hasn't disappointed anyone yet.
