Recommendations for complete SBR upper?
My buddy is doing the trust/SBR thing. He wants to buy a complete 8-9" upper. What are some good ones? He's looking at advanced armament. I built my own and don't have time to search here at work- thanks for understanding.

Re: 700 AAC-SD 300BLK keyholing
I would get the barrel slugged by a gunsmith and see what the bore diameter really is. I've never seen rifling grooves that far into a bullet jacket before. Or the bullets are the wrong size- do you have calipers to measure if they're .308? Get the smith to recut the crown (small job) and retest. Ed...

Re: Lightest rail?
Oh I see what you meant. I wouldn't buy one just to chop the front off... then you have finish the silver part, you lose the QD's etc. What do you mean by top clamp? My tube came with a barrel nut that's has light cross hatching etched in it. You put the green goop/glue all over it, the tube slides ...

Re: Lightest rail?
I'm not into keymod, but I noticed last year that its a very lightweight design. MI finally took advantage of that. You lose the front swivel sockets, but I cant find a lighter railed handguard. Just for clarification, the gen II keymod has 5 QD swivel sockets built in- three up front, two in the r...

Re: Lightest rail?
No idea, but I just installed one on my latest build. Very light, even in the 12" length (8.5oz?). I wasn't happy that the tube glues to the barrel nut with super-locktite goop, then gets clamped. But I do love the 1.5" diameter and keymod feature for a non-tactical rifle. I have some grip...

Re: NFA firearms only trust vs. NFA and other weapons?
Mine is set up as an NFA trust. Then there's an amendment that has the non-NFA firearms listed on it. That doesn't go to the ATF. Reasons? Wife or mother can't go nuts and sell off the guns. My kids inherit them when I depart instead of being sold off.

Re: 1680 is SOOOOOO DIRTY....!!!!!
Same experience here, but is anyone getting the soot and dirt unsuppressed? I wonder how much of the mess is a result of running a can on the front. I shot 120 rounds of A1680 subs and my rifle was NASTY dirty. By comparison, my .50 beowulf looked like it hadn't been shot after 40 rounds. Clean as a...

Re: Can someone let me borrow a no-go headspace gauge?
Well I shot 140 rounds, 12 didn't fire. When I pulled the bullets today, the powder (A1680 ball) was clumped together. The powder was even sticking to the bullets. You could feel it was wet. Guess the water killed the primers. I have 60 rounds remaining, going to pull those apart, dry tumble, then r...

Re: Can someone let me borrow a no-go headspace gauge?
Thanks for the offers but I found my problem. My reloads were still wet from the tumbler when I loaded them. No wonder I was having misfires...

Re: Help- my reloads aren't firing
I'm pretty sure I found the problem. I just pulled apart the 12 rounds that didn't go off. They are WET inside. Enough for the powder to glob together. It was my first batch of rounds using my wet tumbler and SS pins. Apparently 2 days isn't enough time for the water to evaporate from inside the cas...
