I think the 300 BO is fine for Texas Whitetail.
I need to look into that Lehigh bullet

Re: $564.32 300 BLK build
I have 2 PlumCrazy and 2 New Frontier lowers. Personally, I can't see or feel a difference in them. Except for the logos, tehy look teh same. As a friend of mine once commented, "The second twin is more identical than the first."
They can be used to build light reliable rifles.

Re: Plumb Crazy is just junk......or wait maybe not.
I've got two PlumCrazy and two "New Frontier" lowers. The triggers are better than a stock AR trigger, they are light and they work.

Re: Group Buy for 300 BLK Savage Barrels
Now why couldn't they post this update? ..... WOW! If I were in the same position, with ER Shaw NEVER telling me an honest story, I doubt I would up date either. But, that is just my opinion. I've got a barrel on order from GunShack. I would like to finish my build and also apply for a Form1 to bui...

Re: 300 Blk bore sight laser diode
This is an uneducated response, but since the 556 is the parent cartridge, wouldn't a 556 laser bore sight work? -john The 5,56 X 45 (.223) has a longer body than the 7.62 X 35 (300 BO). I always just break open the upper, remove the bolt and sight through the barrel with the gun supported by block...

I suspect the fellow with the tin hat is wearing it in an ineffectual manor. Any real conspiracy expurt realizes the radio waves will be coming from the front and the pointy part needs to face forward to properly deflect the thought changing waves!

Re: low profile gas blocks
I just opened my 'box o'AR parts and pulled two DPMS gas blocks out. Both are low profile. One has a .750 ID and a .425" height above where the gas tube fits. This would give an OD of .750 + .425X2 or 1.6". The large diameter one is .936" and .375" so it is 1.686" OD. The DP...

Re: Trying to cut the Fat
Im building a 7.5 300blk I will not have a forward assist. Plugging the hole with a rubber stopper from Lowes, this should save about 3+ ounces. 3+ ounces seems a bit optimistic. How do you figure it'll save that much? Just weighed a DMPS teardrop forward assist with spring and pin, still in bag, 3...

Re: Whitetail Deer
The 300 Blackout is similar to the .30-30 or 7.62 X 39 in ballistics. Either round with proper bullets is sufficient for Texas sized deer (at least the few dozen I have shot with .22 Hornet {not recommended anymore} to .458 Winchester {kills double dead}). Good shot placement is the key to killing a...
