The 300 will not die off any more than the .223/5.56 would. I have to assume any AWB's will be much harder on other calibers than the 300 BLK. Yeah it was alot of fun to do. When a plan comes together it makes it all that much better! The barrel looks kinda dirty in a few of the pictures but it cleaned up nicely before I put the handguard on. For a budget upper it really does look spiffy, and more importantly, has performed great to date. ...

Looks like a good option. I do have to question the author on this from that posting:
