Re: Stuck cases all of a sudden!!! BLK?

Have you tried cutting shorter to begin with? Maybe cut to 1.370", size, trim to 1.358"

Should look good on a Euro mount.

Once hunting in Texas I downed the elusive Blue Chrony. Decided it was a once in a lifetime event and opted for a full body mount.

Re: 208gr a max will not go sub !

Since you do not own a chronograph, I am guessing you are judging by the sound alone? For me with a 16" barrel 10.9gr a1680 and a 208 amax is subsonic over the chrono. I would expect your load to be slower from a 9" and slower yet at 9.7gr. I recommend you find a buddy with one or invest i...

Re: Show me your measurement device

I personally use this dial caliper http://www.starrett.com/metrology/product-detail/Precision-Measuring-Tools/Precision-Hand-Tools/Slide-Calipers/Dial-Calipers/120M-225 as my work involves measuring in metric, I convert my numbers. Your typical dial calipers will only go as fine as 0.001" or 0....

Re: Latest Speer book and Speer TNT 125gr

Search-fu is your friend... http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/rifle Start 16.7, Max 17.8... I run 17.4 H110 in my rifle... This data is for the Nosler 125 BT bullet. The Speer TNT is a flat base and does not use as much case capacity. In my rifle I begin showing pressure signs right at 19gr. wit...

Re: 230grn cast bullet subsonic load help

I don't know how fast your bullets are traveling with the powder charges listed, and I am not familiar with that particular bullet so I can't give any starting loads. Generally with subsonic loadings you should start at a higher charge and work down until the desired velocity is achieved by chronogr...

Re: 230grn cast bullet subsonic load help

Attaching your silencer will increase the ability of the rifle to cycle with subsonic rounds. The correct load for your gun can be better determined with some chronograph data. I would shoot for ~1050 fps. Once Finding that point, if the rifle cycles reliably, that would be your loading for your par...

Re: Working on first load

What was the range on those targets? It looks like 50 yards. When I was researching my loads for the 125gr TNT I ran across his thread. http://www.300blktalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=81171 P.S. Heading to the range tomorrow, will post back the results. Hah, I thought I had destroyed my c...
