Re: Anyone running Sierra Pro hunter 220 grain Round nose? What's your C.O.L?
No worries. It was helpful just to know that you loaded it at the cannelure, since a lot of 30 cal bullets don't seat to the cannelure in a blk case. I did some dry runs and found that the COAL is just under 2.060. I worked the Action by hand and It seen to chamber at 2.060 with PMags. I really like...

Re: Anyone running Sierra Pro hunter 220 grain Round nose? What's your C.O.L?
I seat them at the cannelure. I want to say that's 2.160 COAL, but I'll verify that tonight. Edit: I just checked them, and they are 2.160". I load them over 11.2g of a1680 and they run nice groups. Thank you Sir! That saved me a lot of time. I wasn't sure the case would make it to the cannelu...

Anyone running Sierra Pro hunter 220 grain Round nose? What's your C.O.L?
Subject says it all. I'm working up a subsonic load with lil' gun. I'm planning to start at 2.235 at the longest and 2.140 at the shortest. Will share my results. Thanks.

Re: Tavor or Steyr AUG convert to 300BO
Figure out a way to get the gas port into a pistol location and then it should work. why would i want a pistol length and not a carbine length? just wondering because thats whats on my AR. Some barrel makers use pistol length gas ports on their carbine length barrels to improve reliability/cycling....

Re: Tavor or Steyr AUG convert to 300BO
Can't the Tavor be converted to 9mm? Also DTA has their Bullpup coming (someday). It's a much better looking bullpup and will either shoot 300BLK or 30 cal AK ammo.

Re: Noveske barrel 300 BLK 8.2 vs 8.5
No difference. They are both awesome. I can see them standardizing the size with the 5.56 barrels so they can increase output by not having to change the tool setup.

Re: Advice for first 300 blk build
If it shoots fine now, it will shoot the same as an SBR. I assume you are using the H2 buffer? I'm not a big fan of adjustable gas blocks. Why use a adjustable block? If barrel makers are opening up their gas ports to improve cycling, then why are you trying to close it up? Fine tuning. Are you goin...

Re: Awesome BLK barrel 3 years and counting.
I take it the bolt is not moving back far enough to pickup the next round and jams half way? What Buffer are you running? if it's the DPMS, the weight is 3.7 oz. Which is closer to the heavy buffer used for pistols. http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-parts/recoil-parts/recoil-buffers/carb...

Since then, I load a little shorter and have switch to Lil' Gun. You will need to Anneal for best accuracy.

Awesome BLK barrel 3 years and counting.
Just to give you my background, I am the originator of this post http://www.300blktalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=79310 Without a doubt, a very successful load. 3 years with the barrel and handguard, shooting the Sierra 125 and Hornady 110 A-Max. The picture from that post has long been del...
