Nothing wrong with that plan. Go for it. Ask the manufacturer of the barrel what buffer and spring setup they designed the gas port length/size for and it should work with their suggestions. When dealing with a short barrel you're more likely to get it to work with both subs & supers when you ha...

rockset is good till 2,000 degrees so don't bother with heat. Water I've heard works but haven't done it to mine. Make sure you clamp it securely in a vice and it helps if you have the flash hider removal tool. I know it sounds like a waste but it'll help in the long run. http://www.advanced-armame...

I would leave it the way it is unless the silencer starts getting too tight on the mount.
