Re: 4227 and 125 TNT help

I've run a resized AK pull behind 18.4 gr of 4227 at 2015fps, not too bad at 3 ' at 100yrds, I save them for H110 at 19grn running out of a 10.5 WOA barrel suppressed at 2100fps. 2' at 100yrd, good enough for me

Re: DOJ ready to announce an expansion of Firearm background

I believe our founding fathers that left the tyranny of Europe used the proper wording. There was no way the Japanese would invade the US because of the fear of 'a rifle behind every blade of grass'. Only these modern lawmakers opine on what the right to bear arms really means. Starting with 'shall ...

Re: 220 Load

I wouldn't call 1492 fps barely achievable. Not sure of the OP's question but that's the number.

15.6

AA No. 1680

1492

11 AR-15

That's his choice, at least he wears sunglasses when not under an awning. We both sweat a lot and glasses fog up on certain days, not a great excuse but the truth.

Re: Looking for a starting load-147gn pulls, IMR4227

FWIW I loaded some 150grn M2s seated at the canelure and got these results out of a 10.5' barrel. No pressure signs, full function, and bolt lock back. Decent accuracy. 4' at 100m. IMR 4227 16.6 1730 avg 16.9 1772 avg My neighbor ran some Hornady 150 fmjs with the same load and had similar results. ...

Re: Can't resize 5.56 to 300 BLK :-(

are you using a different die without the expanding ball in place when you do the first shoulder press and then doing a final sizing with the expander ball in place after you trim then? I take the decapping stem/expander ball out to form, then resize with it in before the trim. Same die, Redding. S...
