Re: Cheapest Self Defense/Hunting 300blk Ammo

This will take care of your hunting, either the 110's or the 125 ballistic tips. If it was what I had and needed I would not hesitate to use either on a two legged problem. Just watch your backstop. http://www.shootersproshop.com/ammunition.html?cartridge=231 The best I have seen is the Lehigh Defe...

Re: Cheapest Self Defense/Hunting 300blk Ammo

just some perspective... the words cheap and self defense should never be in the same sentence. i'm all for being budget minded and of course not over spending, but really when your life, or that of your loved ones in on the line, is 50 cents or $1 a shot really that important? just my $0.02 USD [e...

Cheapest Self Defense/Hunting 300blk Ammo

What is the cheapest but still efficient self defense or hunting ammo out there for 300blk? I have seen some Sierra match King 125r HP's for $0.75/rnd but I do not know if the projectile is any good at expansion. Are the Barnes black tip still the best? What other good performers are out there that ...

You don't happen to have the details on this rifle, for those of us that are curious?

It's a Robinson armament XCR-L with an acr stock adapter made by a member over at xcr forum.

How did you get a piston kit to work with that buffer tube? I thought all those PDW buffer tubes used proprietary bolt carriers.

Re: Best 300blk zero

this would be for a T1. I was thinking of doing a 25m or 50m zero, I just don't have a ballistic calculator to figure out if there is a point that the bullet will be point of impact, point of aim, like on my AR with a 50/200 zero.

Best 300blk zero

I tried the search function and came up with a big ole goose egg ...

So what zero does everyone use? On my 556 I use a 50yd since 0-300 is all with in a few inches. But I finally got a 300 and am curious as to what people are zeroing at. So what do y'all use?

Re: Benefits, if any of Piston vs DI for SBR?

Go with DI for a 300blk gun. It's not like your going to be shooting hundreds of rounds of cruddy/gummy Wolf ammo per range session. (I wish Wolf made cheap cruddy/gummy ammo for 300blk..hehe) For now it seems like it's hard to make a piston 300blk gun run well. Especially with a short barrel. Look...
