Re: First timer problem !!!!
Stacy, It sounds to me like you are having a timing issue with your rifle. Your recoil spring, buffer and bolt weight all go into an ugly equation that will determine when the bolt will open after the shot has been fired. If the bolt tries to open too early the brass is still stuck to the chamber wa...

Re: 155gr A-Max reload failure no bang
The primer must have gone off or the bullet would not be stuck in the barrel after the trigger pull. Plus, you should have heard a small pop! But, like others have stated, for a primer to go off and generate enough pressure to push the bullet a short distance into the barrel and NOT light the power!...

Re: LilGun
Lauyerman, thanks for looking at my info. I just posted a new post on the subject of loading the Barnes 130 TTSX BT bullet and I started with some loads using Lil'Gun. You might find it useful. Thanks again.

Re: WOW The copycats are out. 308 ARROW
My thinking as to why I think it is a 6.5 Grendel brass is because in their accessories section the loading components area they are selling the Number 6 shell holder to the handloader. There is only about 6 or 8 brass that this shell holder is used for and almost all of them are based on the 7.62x3...

Re: Working on Loading the Barnes 130gr TTSX BT bullet
Yeah me too. C2_Drew, I also have some data I shot the other day with the Barnes 110 gr. TTSX #30871. I only shot five loads using W296. It looks like rain this weekend, maybe I can get out to the range on Sunday afternoon. It is too bad that these bullets cost so damn much, they shoot good! I will ...

Re: WOW The copycats are out. 308 ARROW
Looks like a 6.5 Grendel brass necked up to .308. Look at the posted velocity. Bigger brass, 10 round mag. Some might like it. I don't. I have a good .308 in many flavors and I think my FN FAL 16" model is my favorite and it shoots the real thing. No need to spend the money to remake a .308 usi...

Re: My new setup, and my first handload.
Way to go! I remember the days when I used the bar top, counter or table. Then the wife pitched it and me out to the small tool shed cause primers, powder and brass shavings just keep finding it's way onto the floor. I hope you really enjoy your new found reloading hobby.

Working on Loading the Barnes 130gr TTSX BT bullet
I am starting to work up some loads with the Barnes 130gr TTSX BT bullet #30873. My goal here is to find the upper bounds of safe reloading of these bullets. In doing so, I will be using the only primer that I trust to show me early when pressures are starting to get high. That would be the CCI-400 ...

Re: m80 loads?
That may be, I don't really know the real answer, but if you go get some and look at it under a microscope they are not the same powder and it is not a batch thing. The internet is full of folks saying it is and there are others that say it is not. I guess it is just whatever! However, they actually...

Re: m80 loads?
W296 and H110 are not the same powder. QuickLoad has different blast parameters for the two powders and not too long ago I looked at the two under a microscope and they are not the same powder. The two smell slightly different and they have different smaller particles blended in with the larger, and...
