Re: How to prevent a 300BLK round being fired in a 5.56 uppe
http://www.bradswarehouse.com/web_images/bands7.jpg http://www.bradswarehouse.com/ I like the Lancers Too!!!!! The Bands are just a Band-aid to the problem though. I've tested many loads with a pretty heavy Lee Factory crimp die, and chambering 300BLK rounds from a locked back bolt in a 5.56 cause ...

Re: Advise on a Dillon RL 550 B
I've progressed through many Dillon Presses. I use 1050's and a couple of 550's. I sold off my 650's, the 550 is the ultimate in flexibility and the 1050 is the speed demon. Having a 650 for a single machine wouldn't suck, but I'd take that 550!!

I've had GREAT luck with both Redding and Forster dies!!
Lee FCD isn't bad if you like that type of crimp.

Re: MagnetoSpeed V2 help
I had trouble with my V1 unit, I had trouble getting readings with subs, my velcro had got slightly loose and the attachment area rode up slightly on the flash hider changing the angle of the sensor to the bore line. Check that, maybe you'll get lucky :) With my unit not on correctly, supers would r...

Re: CUTTING .223 BRASS FOR 300AAC
The long strands created by trimming the 5.56 to 300 BLK can cause a rats nest, it only takes one strand to catch a corner, and the nest starts, lol. Strong Vacuum is a big plus. I Used to think the motor heated up faster while trimming 5.56 to 300 BLK vs just trimming 5.56, but they heated up the sa...

Re: Dillon Precision Super 1050
The 650 is an OK machine, but it's home grade. I think the #1 point the 1050 has over the 650, Primer seating. The 1050 primes when the at the top of the stroke, and is controlled, you can set the primers to seat 1-4 thou below the case head, the 650 on the other hand is done by feel, and seating de...

Re: Dillon 1200B life
Thanks Notar for the info. Sounds simple for me. Where do you get your bearings or other parts for the RT1200? Dillon will sell you Brushes, and Bring an old bearing to a supply house in your town, at least here(mcguire bearing), they have them on the shelf, but some shafts they are hard to get off...

Re: Dillon 1200B life
I get 60k to 75k life out of a RT1200 when cutting down the full case. BUT I take the motor apart when I get a temperature spike when trimming. The spike can be a clogged hose, or distress from the lowering bearing. The motor is easy to take apart, remove the top 2 bolts, then lift the motor apart g...
