Re: STD's go into mass production
To resurrect an old threat: Did a 308 level device ever come out or will the 300 BLK work with 308?

Re: SUBSONIC 150gr load data, bolt action, inexpensive subs!
You are probably talking about JohninNH's posts. He has done a lot of work on 300blk subs and even more with 357Max subs. He has been AWOL from forums for a while and I do miss his insight and expertise. American Select is just a bit faster than Green dot on the charts, but right next to titegroup....

There is a lot of info on this subject already in several threads. Don't have access to them right now but I find that 5.3-5.5 grains of Unique to be very satisfactory for your parameters. Also titegroup, but can't remeber the numbers off the top of my head.

Re: X-Treme Bullets
Very easy, simple press and die but you need a dedicated press and die set up. See earlier posts regarding Corbin press/dies. Looks like it might work. this is through a ULD die the real pointy one is the max i can go. Ill convert the box is weekend and give them a run and report back. http://imagiz...

Re: X-Treme Bullets
That looks good, same as my results. Now I just need to load them up and test em out. Any thoughts on loads for subsonic out of an AR platform? Or just stay with ~1500fps supersonic? They (FP design) work fine out of a bolt gun, extremely accurate. Looks like it might work. this is through a ULD die...

Re: X-Treme Bullets
theflatline What brand are you using? I couldn't find the ULD point forming dies. I found this other website but damm pricey http://www.corbins.com/prices.htm Yup thats the one, there are other press/die makers out there, but similar prices. Corbin has been around the longest I think. The dies are ...

Re: X-Treme Bullets
Wouldn't re-forming the tip of a plated bullet weaken the copper plating pretty badly? I thought they even advise against a tight crimp because it can also weaken the plating....and they already warn us not to run these over 1500 FPS because the plating will fragment off... it won't be much of a mo...

Re: Titegroup for 300 subs
Xtreme 150 gr, rem 6.5 primer, LC reformed and 2.003 OAL in bolt gun, 25 yds. Just finished work up of 4.2-4.5 Titegroup and found 4.4 (~1000fps), very accurate for the 3 round test group. ES of 15 fps. Tried Unique and though it was very accurate at 25 yds, difficult keeping it subsonic at suggeste...

Re: Titegroup for 300 subs
Any idea what velocity these are running?
JasonYuke wrote:Been playing with lite loads of titegroup. Anyone ever has success with this powder ?
So far 4.3 grains with a 150 grain bullet gives pretty good accuracy in a bolt gun
