Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK
I think they’re gone forever at this point. I have less than a box left, myself. I don’t think they’re magical by any means, but I do like them. I’ve killed at least 2 deer with them with good results. I’ve had longer blood trails with the Barnes than these, but there are variables involved, so who ...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK
Thanks man. That’s the same upper and can as I have. I’ve got A1680 Available. I’m interested to see your H110 numbers as well as that’s how my 150s are loaded. I really need to buy a LabRadar and get to worn with it. You're welcome! I'll post again when I load H110. I'm low on Gold Dot bullets, so...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK
heres my latest chrono results for loads using the 150 gr; Gold Dot. all were shot out of a 16" bbl. Bear Creek upper with an Omega suppressor. the C.O.A.L. was 2.145 using Winchester small rifle primers. powders used were A-1680 and H-110. I loaded up 10 rounds of each. depending how the Magn...

Re: Accuracy problems with suppressor
I don't have experience with it, but I would consider one of these... https://www.capitolarmory.com/plan-b-by-q-suppressor-adapter-omega-saker-chimera.html And FWIW, I agree this is very unlikely any kind of gas issue and probably more likely lockup, hence the Plan B. However, I wonder if you're usi...

Doe Report
I've been away from 300 BLK for a bit, but took it with me yesterday on a deer hunt. I used Barnes VOR-TX 110gr ammo in a 12.5" AAC MPW upper (running about 2215 MV) and shot a medium sized doe at around 70 yards. The bullet entered its chest just behind the shoulder and exited with good expans...

Re: Tasco Scope Adjustment Question
A Tasco I have from the early '90s is each hash mark equals 1/4" so each number equals 1" at 100 yds. That's how one of mine is, but tasco sourced their scopes from a whole bunch of manufacturers, so there isn't any reasonable expectation that scopes made by various companies are going to...

Re: Tasco Scope Adjustment Question
A Tasco I have from the early '90s is each hash mark equals 1/4" so each number equals 1" at 100 yds. Thank you, sir! That is what I figured, but hoped someone could confirm. This is actually for a muzzleloader and I'm running low on 300gr Hornadys at the moment. I hope to use as few as p...

Tasco Scope Adjustment Question
At the risk of appearing foolish, I have a question about an older Tasco Euro-Class 1.5-6x44 scope. I've linked a photo of the elevation dial below. Where it indicates IN./100Yd, does anyone know if that means 1 MOA per hash mark and number or 1 MOA per number with 1/4 MOA adjustment in-between the ...

Re: Deer Season
I'm in with an AAC 12.5" w/ SDN-6 and a 125gr SST load (18.7/H110) running around 2225. Looking forward to firearms season.
