I'm surprised the weapons used in the shooting haven't been paraded about to show how "evil" the AR-15 is. With all the conflicting info it sure makes me wonder.

I'd chamber that barrel for 308 Win or 300 Win Mag. There's no need for a long barreled 300 BLK.

Make sure your extractor has a rubber o-ring on it. If it doesn't install one. Search for o-ring and you'll find the details on the fix. It's an easy fix and will solve most of these issues.

I assume the spent case is being ejected normally. Will the bolt hold open on an empty mag? Fire it with one round in the mag. This tells you if the bolt is short stroking. Try another lower that you know functions--borrow one if you have to. This will confirm it's the upper. AAC is a great company....
