Re: Looking for some bad brass

Glad you got it figured out. 300 Whisper and 300 Blackout are interchangeable with jacketed bullets but with cast it can be problematic using 300 Blackout length brass in a 300 Whisper chamber.

Re: Looking for some bad brass

That is a Whisper chamber. It uses 221 Fireball brass that is trimmed to 1.40”. My Contenter barrel that also suffered from lead rings is also a Whisper barrel.

Tannerite is made out of 95% of Ammonium Nitrate by weight and 5% of fine aluminum powder by weight. You can buy 50 pounds of Ammonium Nitrate off of Amazon for $84 as "Instant Cold Pack Kit DIY 50 POUNDS". https://www.amazon.com/Instant-Cold-Pack-Kit-POUNDS/dp/B07D1DVDJL/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=diy+col...

Re: Looking for some bad brass

So, what are you working on?

I loaded up some thicker neck brass to test but haven't really felt like testing. My thought is with a thicker neck it will hold the neck, and thus the bullet, closer to the centerline of the bore.

My impressions of the Arken optics EP4 4-16X50

I generally do not do reviews. Mostly because I tend to be very critical of things that almost always end up being more negative than they really are. But with that being said I felt compelled to write about my recent Arken scope purchase. I was not given this scope, I bought it and paid full price ...

Re: New Montana Law - Dellet Crying

Stayed tuned for a Fake News exclusive! Montana cowboys rally at the Capitol in Helena to protest the new law criminalizing the use of 'knee high' boots that entrap innocent sheep as sex slaves. The local farm and ranch supply stores have pulled these boots from the shelves. Local animal activists ...

Re: Lead rings? Here's why

Yeah, I wasn't expecting much because of all the other <$50 bore scopes I have bought in the past. It has a big long thread on another website with nothing but positive things to say about it. It has helped me start figuring out why some Savages shoot great while others do not. I am also cataloging ...

Re: Couple Q's on repeat-ability and desired tolerances...

Uniform and deburr the flash holes. That is one thing I still do to every case. Doing it made the single biggest difference when I used to shoot groups. Case fill is also very important because powder position can impact velocity. I tested loads by first loading then pointing the muzzle at the groun...
