are you passing the brass into the die just once? or are you taking a 2nd stroke? where in the case gauge are you making contact? ie: the shoulder? somewhere in the body? the neck? have you tried a plunk test in your chamber? lots of us here have chambers that will take brass/ammo that wont quite fi...

walmart removed firearms from all of its urban stores, nation wide, in 2020. Most Rural stores still have firearms in the cases. they also discontinued the sale of pistol ammo and "assault weapon" ammo. so what they do carry now ammo wise - if you can find any from the shortage - is shotgun stuff, r...

make sure its settled in the case. anything but spherical powder can stack/bridge/etc and leave air gaps.

sometimes a gentle tap on the side of the case wall, etc... can settle that powder down and remove the trapped air.

the issues is.. for new reloaders right now anyway...

they go from having an ammo shortage problem to having a primer shortage problem.

my first round of testing on a new bullet/load is in 0.5gr increments for the powder charge. if i feel the need to go back for a 2nd round of fine tuning for that specific load, i narrow down the charge range (min/max for the text, based on my first round testing) and typically go to a 0.2 gr interv...
