Re: Shooters World Socom?

actually no, i have yet to tinker with it for supers in the blackout. from what i recall, when we all first stumbled upon this stuff.... Lovex used to make 1680 for alliant, and at some point lost the contract. so this stuff is their version of 1680, probably modified just enough to satisfy their le...

Re: Shooters World Socom?

yup, thats the stuff i have do-63.1. i've got... 5 or 6 lbs left at this point but my local source had gone away so i was gonna have to switch to the .2 "blackout" when that ran out. load it with 1680 data, its just a touch faster/denser, and way freaking cleaner. roughly speaking i'm down a couple ...

Re: Can't get 150gr GD to sit still

theres no reason to remove the h2. the standard recipe for spring/buffer for this caliber is as follows pistol gas port = standard carbine spring, H2 buffer carbine gas port = standard carbine spring, carbine buffer tune it to cycle correctly with the h2 and happily ever after and stuff  hth

Re: 308 diameter projectiles; how to tell for which caliber?

landing in the cannelure isnt critical for good loading. that some projectiles with them happen to have an OAL that puts the cannelure at the case mouth in this caliber is often just a happy accident. if you havent already, make sure you reference the error data hornady published - both 9th and 10th...

Re: Hornady 150gr sst

one trick i use when checking die settings besides of course measuring the first loaded round and random OAL or CBTO sampling during loading... i load two dummy rounds. just brass and bullet - no primer, no powder. i use those the first to set my oal, and the 2nd to confirm it. if crimping i also us...

Well damit. I’m scared to look up for any corrections to my pet 308 165SST load. I dang sure don’t want to any changes.

Thanks for the update links.

why would you have to correct an already developed, tested, safe and working pet load?
