Check to see if the roll pin holding the gas tube in the block is still there or if it missed the alignment hole completely and rode under or over the tube, providing sufficient friction to appear...

Keeps most everything subsonic.
It has worked for me on a T/C Contender, Buckmark, Ruger MK lll, and an AR pistol.
