Re: Accuracy potential of the 300 BO

I put the target info into the On Target free software and the numbers were a hair off from mine. But they were pretty close. I'm still not sure on the average mean raduis, is it the same thing as the average to center measurments. I could not get the target info on the pic just group info. But the ...

What I really want though is average mean radius.
How does one go about getting the average mean radius.

Re: Accuracy potential of the 300 BO

Today i made my first attempt at the silver standard. I shot three groups ten shots each. The first group measured .725. The second was 1.125 and i think i got the rifle a little warm because after a short cool down the third group was .690. All goups measured overall then 300 subtracted. The averag...

Tikka 300 BLK

I've been shooting it and doing load development for it till his suppressor comes in. First of all let me say that OLE's did a great job on the b...

Re: 2011 300 AAC blackout Hunting thread

My 10 year old daughter shot a coyote this morning using a Remington model seven in 300 BLK shooting a 110 gr vmax bullet. He turned about three circles and dropped. The shot was about 35 yards and the vmax made a mess of the opposite side. http://i1103.photobucket.com/albums/g480/dcsmith11/2011-11-...

Re: Micro7 situation/problem

I opened my model 7 that's made off of a 17 rem fireball and didn' t see any shim like your talking about. But when I was building my gun I had to swap the 17 fireball follower, spring, and spacer for 223 follower, spring, and spacer because the 17 follower and spacer didn't allow you to load long oal...

Re: Hornady AMax

Anyone try a subsonic load using the Hornady 208gr A Max bullet? The Sierra 220gr Match King is the most popular load but the bullets stay back ordered. I like Hornady bullets and they are usually cheaper and in stock. Interested in your experiences The 208 amax is one of my favorite bullets for my...

Re: One of the best tools for shooting the BLK

Which TBR Group are you using for the 300 BLK? I use the free shooter app on my droid to create a drop chart. All you need is your muzzle velocity and ballistic coefficient off the bullet your shooting. The charts are close enough to get in the ball park. I use the Leupold for accurate rangefinding...

One of the best tools for shooting the BLK

I think for the 300 BLK this is a must for shooting subs at any distance. It's hard to beat a compact rangefinder. Image

One is a leupold mark 4 4.5X14 and the other is a vx-2 3x9 that I had sent off and a target knob put on the elevation turret. I'm thinking about something smaller for the model 7. Maybe in the 2-7 or 1.5-6 range.
