SOLD to glocker17: PacNor 11" 300 Whisper (not BLK) Barrel & Gas Block/Tube

-Sold to Glocker17- Thanks! I bought this 300 Whisper 11" barrel made on a 1 in 8 PacNor blank before the 300 BLK existed. It was done by Spook on Quarterbore Forums and it shoots subs very well as Whispers were primarily for subsonic use. The profile is bull diameter to the pistol gas system a...

Re: Ruger Ranch American 300 BLK - Negative Things to Know Before Buying

I got my Ruger American back from Ruger on Saturday and they replaced the bolt. Using the same lot of UMC that only 1 out of 4 actually fired, I finished the box with no issue and strong primer strikes so it seems the original bolt was definitely not right. Turn around was pretty quick considering i...

Re: Has anyone used an ultrasonic bath to clean a suppressor?

For carbon, I cleaned my .308 suppressor and got tons of black soot out of it using 1/4 part vinegar 3/4 parts water and a drop or two of dish soap. Recently pulled the core of my Mystic and got it and the tube clean using the same method. Don't use any aluminum components in the Ultrasonic as the f...

Re: Blackout , Breakout

Magtech and PRVI introducing ammo will help move things along this year. Having the UMC/Barnes 120 Grain ammo at Wally world is a significant accomplishment at $16.44 a box. With Zinc Barnes Range AR ammo coming out, those that have lead restrictions won't be shelling out $1.50 for the blacktip stuf...

Re: 300 Blackout before 5.56 SR15 or after?

The SR15 is a great rifle, but your 11.5" barrel with 5.56 is going to be a fireball thrower that is not very efficient (i.e. comparable velocity with a lower bullet weight and less overall kinetic energy). If I was getting an SR15, it would go for an 18" barrel. If buying a two stamp gun,...

Re: 110 grain blemish question

I don't see any blems on these BTW... Got mine yesterday and they look good - red tip, shiny and with a cannelure that won't line up on 300 BLK loads.

Can't wait to load them up and see what they can do to some paper and water jugs vs. my 125 TNT's.

Re: 110 grain blemish question

They are Hornady V Max 110. There was a headline that they were Hornady Blems on one of the pages that had all of the options.

I ordered 500.

Re: Ruger Ranch American 300 BLK - Negative Things to Know Before Buying

Check to see if bench rest follower is available for the mag. I used 'em on Remmy 700s, but don't know if they're available for Rugers. I don't think that it will work because there is a ramp that goes upward and then a drop off for the gap between the end of the ramp and the barrel. To update: Rug...

Re: JP silent spring- yea or nay?

Does anyone know what the stock spring weight is that comes with the captured buffer?

Just curious if I were to purchase 1911 Wolff springs what the start point is.
