Re: UMC sub problems?
Thanks to you both for the replies! To answer some questions: Geissele SSA FCG. Everything there seems fine. Firing pin protrusion is .030 Riding the CH forward, dirty but wet BCG, the bolt locks up easily every time. Unfortunately, I don't have go/nogos for this caliber, so I can't check the headsp...

UMC sub problems?
Got in some Remington UMC 220 subs this week and tested a couple boxes yesterday evening. 3 out of 40 rounds failed to fire. See pic 1 for primer strikes. All three rounds fired fine the second try. I've been through roughly 260 yellow box Rem subs, 60 Gunn subs and numerous supers with no light str...

Re: 458 Socom Talk?
I would use an upper with a PTG since I always shot reloads if I was going to do a 458. If you're rolling your own it shouldn't matter. I've got aTitan-Ti on the way so I'm going to look into a 338 Spectre instead of a 458 though. Don't mean to hijack this thread so I'll start another one about tha...

Re: How I built a Daniel Defense ISR and saved $800
Question of technical nature... At some point, that can was screwed on and not welded...correct? I mean, the barrel was of SBR length without a permanent attachment bringing it to legal length. Physically, that is the only possible situation. Even if just for 2-3 minutes. Does this constitute a tec...

Re: How I built a Daniel Defense ISR and saved $800
Has to be pinned also from my understandings Nope. ATF's accepted methods: "Permanent methods of attachment include full-fusion gas or electric steel-seam welding, high-temperature (1100°F) silver soldering, or blind pinning with the pin head welded over." NFA Handbook, Chapter 2, first p...

No experience with that gun, but Joe is a stand up guy. Just look through his post history on pro.

Re: Atlanta Arms Pink Tip and Nosler BT
I've shot the pink tips and BT through my gun before and had no problems so I don't think it is my chamber. These were the last boxes that I had. Shot 10 of each and had problems with about half of them. Just wondering if this has happened with anybody else. Not complaining, Atlanta Arms makes some...
