Re: Announcing - the new 300 BLK UMC - 120 grain.

September starts Monday! I need a few cases, so I'll just have to start randomly refreshing the various forum pages so I don't miss out when it hits the shelves.

Re: Springtime is Upon Us. Any news about Remington UMC 115

The affordable UMC ammo was a big contributor to my decision to blow the wad on my "Ultimate 300 BLK SBR" a while back. I bought several cases of the ammo (and several cases of the subsonics too) back then and happily plinked away. That gun quickly became my favorite AR, and I was even con...

Re: FS: Custom 300BLK CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar (OH)

A bump and some clarification... The muzzle is threaded a standard 5/8-24, so it will work with any typical muzzle device and/or can. It's not married to the Spike's/OPSInc cans.

I dropped the price to $1100 OBO, so send me any offers. I might surprise myself! :)

FS: Custom 300BLK CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar (OH)

I haven't had this out of the safe in almost a year and a half, so it's a perfect candidate for a new home. It started life as a CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar chambered in .223 Remington. I sent the barreled action to McGowen Precision (in May of 2012) where they trued the action, lapped the bolt lugs and s...

Re: JP silent captured spring

I've been kicking around the idea of making an SCS setup for my 9mm SBR. I'm going to see if using brass weights with a steel system will get the weight close to what I've got now with the buffer + carrier weight. I'm also planning on making the sliding assembly longer to match the dedicated 9mm buf...

Re: My take on the Spike's Compressor (My 300BLK SBR Build)

Cerakote Tungsten Gray. It's the second AR I've had done in that color now. I've had it out to the range a few times now, and it's my new favorite AR... along with everyone else who has fired it. I just got a Spike's NiB Lightweight BCG for it though, so I'll have to head back to the range...

Re: My take on the Spike's Compressor (My 300BLK SBR Build)

I took some more glamour shots since I added the Surefire Mini Scout (Noveske keymod mount) and Magpul MS4 QD sling (Noveske QD endplate). The suppressed G19 is just for effect.

Re: Should price of UMC supersonic be raised to help availab

I don't think anyone should lose money making a product. If Remington's profit margin on .223 is 5% (or whatever), than their profit margin on 300 BLK should be 5% as well. That way there is no disincentive to run the 300 BLK ammo. That being said, I also agree that if the cost of the "cheap pl...

Re: Anyone running an adjustable gas block and actually usin

I have all sorts of adjustable gas blocks on different rifles. From here on out, the only ones I'll be using are the ones from SLR Rifleworks. They have a spring loaded detent and fluted adjustment screw, so they will not move from your chosen setting unless you move it. Syrac Ordnance (I have a few...
