This thread reminds me of one of my freshman engineering profs. We were converting a speed from mph to furlongs per fortnight and he asked how long a fortnight was. I said that it was 14 days and he said "NO it's two weeks!"

Is there a reason you chose 9 inch over say 10.5, 11.5 or 12.5 inch for the platform. What was magic for you in R&D process to go with 9 inches. I noticed that Noveske has 10.5 inch for their 300 Fireball barrel. I remember Robert posting a while back about 9" being the sweet spot for 300 ...
