This thread reminds me of one of my freshman engineering profs. We were converting a speed from mph to furlongs per fortnight and he asked how long a fortnight was. I said that it was 14 days and he said "NO it's two weeks!" :lol:

Debating getting rid of my mp5SD (SW, semi, 2 stamp by RDTS). Gonna give it a few months and wait and see
9mm ammo is much cheaper...on the other hand you could buy a lot of 300 BLK ammo for what that MP5SD will net you...hmmm.

The reason why I want a 1.4 inch sight height is not so that I can co-witness but rather because that is the standard height for an AR sight. Is is the cheekweld that works for me. It is the cheek weld I am used to. This is why 'lower 1/3 co-witness' is so dreadful - you compromise your optic posit...

Is there a reason you chose 9 inch over say 10.5, 11.5 or 12.5 inch for the platform. What was magic for you in R&D process to go with 9 inches. I noticed that Noveske has 10.5 inch for their 300 Fireball barrel. I remember Robert posting a while back about 9" being the sweet spot for 300 ...
